Welcome

Welcome message from the Headteacher

Dear Parents/Carers,

Welcome to our lovely school! I am very proud to have been appointed as Headteacher at such a lovely school.

Choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions that you will make. This website will give you an insight into life at our school. We hope you will find the information helpful, but if there is anything else you wish to know please contact the school. Visits to the school are most welcome.

Our aim is to provide a safe, secure and caring, school environment in which children can develop into confident, well-motivated and hard-working pupils. We aim for our pupils to be become fully equipped for the challenges of later life in an advancing technological world and an integrated society. We value all achievements, talents and interests and recognise the importance of the development of the "whole" child through the setting of high expectations and a challenging, yet creative, curriculum. We are proud of our school as a vital and important part of the Llyswen community. We actively encourage visits to the school during the school day, please telephone to make an appointment.

When making this important decision, do speak to Governors, teachers or parents of the school. The pupils can also be relied upon to give you an honest response, but above all please ask questions, no matter how trivial you think they are.

The size of our school enables us to offer a secure and happy framework in which children can flourish and develop as individual and independent learners.

We look forward to welcoming your child/children to Archdeacon Griffiths Voluntary Aided Church in Wales Primary school whether as a new entrant, or someone joining us from another school.
